There is no question on importance of physical activity on human beings. It becomes even much more necessary when it comes to our children; the earlier you shape and train a kid, the better the future of the individual and the society as well. Schools should realize the role in nurturing the world by how and what they teach learners. Future health, economy, and ethics of the community are all dependent in what is going on in schools. Therefore, PE planning becomes crucial part of the curriculum.Physical activity and academic achievement
Physical activity not only exercises the body but the mind as well. Focus in class and comprehension levels are interfered with social concerns and stresses, which can all be suppressed by exercise. It is an easy do-it-yourself stress relieving technique for students. This is only on cognitive development.
Also, physical activity improves on memory, behavior, and social skills. There are technical biological terms that we won’t go to in explaining the activation and inhibition of hormones through exercise. However, it is tested and proven that students who engage in regular physical activity not only post good grades but are also well behaved and happy.Recommendations for physical activity
According to the US Department of Health and Human Services, learners up to age 17 should be subjected to physical activity at least 60 minutes in a day for 3 days a week. The guidelines further breakdown to three elements that any tutor in the field should adhere to in PE planning.
Aerobics should be in moderate or high intensity depending on the students. Muscle strengthening is a must within the 60 minutes or so in the 3 days per week program. Also, tutors should not miss to include bone strengthening in every session on a weekly basis.
